Groundwater is found in various geological formations. Generally speaking, the natural chemical quality of groundwater is good, but the high scale of concentrations in various components in certain situations causes problems for their exploitation. The purpose of this paper is to determine the hydrochemical types of groundwater in the river basin of the Blinajë. The determination of the hydro-chemical types of groundwater in the Blinajë river basin is assessed by measurements and laboratory analysis of physical-chemical parameters such as temperature, pH, electrical conductivity, general hardness, etc., including the determination of the anions and main cations. Six points (monitoring stations) were selected for this purpose, in which 18 water samples were taken during the period April-August 2015 and January 2016. Groundwater in this basin revealed the average temperature of 11.9 ºC, average pH value of 7.3 and the average of electrical conductivity of 663.3 μS / cm. The main ions defined in the groundwater basins of the Blinajë basin are: Na +, Ca2 +, Mg2 +, Cl2-2 SO4²-, HCO3- and CO3²-, while in small quantities there are also ions K +, Fe2 +, NO2 -, NO3-. Saturation saturation index greater than zero (ISL> 0) was shown at SM1 and SM6 sampling stations, while water analysis at SM2, SM3, SM4 and SM5 sampling stations showed a saturation index less than zero (ISL <0). Four water-type hydrocarbons have been isolated: magnesium bicarbonate (HCO3-Mg), calcium bicarbonate (HCO3-Ca), calcium bicarbonate-magnesium-calcium (HCO3-Mg-Ca) and bicarbonate-sulfate-magnesium-calcium type (HCO3- SO4-Mg-Ca). The hydrochemical study of groundwater in the river basin of Blinajë is of particular interest: First and firemost, they are a source of drinking water for residents and areas, and Secondly, through this study provides an accurate picture of the groundwater and there is also attained a hydro-chemistry of groundwater in this catchment.
