Yu81 vs Eurocode in calculation of seismic forces

Description

Construction built before ’90 in Kosovo have been designed by the Yu 81 Code (old Jugoslavian Costruction Code) which has been substituted by the European Code. For this topic a study of actual situation and its reinforcement has been done for a special case study. Results confirmed that based in old code the seismicity force have been double of the one calculated by Eurocode, in fact the steel reinforcement results the same because of the high safe coefficient in the old code and as a result of the combination of the load.
