Pandemic election campaign in Kosovo

Description

This paper will address the communication of political candidates in the race for the elections of October 17, 2021 for the local level. The law on the prevention of the COVID-19 pandemic, which is still in force in Kosovo, obliged political parties to organize a campaign without large political rallies, and for this, the political parties carried the campaign in the online media and on television. This was an innovation in terms of the positive sides of presenting the programs of political parties, but it also had a negative side. This is because many candidates did not get a decent presentation. Therefore, from what was said above, we will carry out the work which will be brought through concrete examples of political parties and candidates for mayor about the presentation of political programs and platforms. We will see how they used social networks.

This paper will be based on the empirical and general analysis method.
