The research work formulates and tests hypotheses related to the impact of digitalization of businesses on their business process productivity. Some case studies show relatively estimated trends of business digitalization and the impact of this process on business process productivity. It is noteworthy that trends differ when comparing developed countries with developing ones and the latter with underdeveloped ones. These trends may be considered as opportunities and as challenges for innovative business approaches, different work settings and possibly innovative industrial revolution enabled by new technologies.
