Description

Cloud computing is promising so many advantages to the large and small organizations such as cheaper cost, availability, and offsite data storage. Different organizations are adopting as well as are willing to adopt cloud computing. However, there are some factors that influence organizations to the decision whether to adopt cloud computing. Therefore, it is important to investigate the most common factors that affect the decision of organizations to adopt cloud computing. There is research available in the western and developed countries, however, there is not a lot of research available about cloud computing adoption by small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Kosovo. Hence, the researchers have conducted this research about the factors that push SMEs in Kosovo to adopt cloud computing. The quantitative approached was used, and questionnaires were used for the purpose of data collection. There were 62 respondents from seven different SMEs. SPSS was used as the tool to do the data analysis for this article. The analysis performed are means, standard deviations, correlations between variables, one-way ANOVA test and independent t-test. Based on the results the main factors that push SMEs in Kosovo to adopt cloud computing are relative advantage, complexity, top management support and ICT infrastructure. This study found that there is no significant relationship between security and cloud computing adoption.
