THE ANTI-CORRUPTION BODY AND THE FIGHT AGAINST CORRUPTION IN BULGARIA

Session

Management Business and Economics

Description

Corruption today is considered one of the most serious problems that every country has faced in the past few decades. It poses a threat to the public and economic interests of citizens, which requires coordinated efforts to combat this phenomenon. This issue is particularly relevant to Bulgaria, where the topic of corruption has been discussed many times. However, despite efforts to create institutions dedicated to fighting this social problem, visible results are still lacking. The purpose of this report is to analyze and study the processes related to the creation and functioning of an anti-corruption body in Bulgaria and, based on this, to provide guidelines and suggestions for improving the anti-corruption environment. Corruption is a major factor in the low public trust in institutions, it hinders economic development and deters foreign investment. This undermines the economic stability of the country, hampers economic growth, and creates an unfavorable environment for the market economy, private initiative, and entrepreneurship.
