Description

The research object in this paper is the symbiotic relationship between the stage director and the playwright, as well as the stage director and the actor in the theater. The genesis of theater, has its roots in religion and ritual. Since the Antiquity, the actresses through their stage appearances, has introduced the world of gods and people, showing different dilemmas, but not offering solutions for them. Debates on society, presented through theatrical works, in front of the public, in different periods of time, are still debatable. Theatrical art, stage art, uses the word and body language to convey the message to the public. This is a message that in certain periods of time has been the forerunner of great changes in society. Theater as an extremely complex art..This study will examine the relationship between the director and the playwright (text selection, filtering ...) and the importance of sustainable collaboration between them. Also, the relationship between the director and the actor (working with actors, their selection, work on the table, mise-en-scène, until finalization and presentation to the public) will be examined in order to achieve artistic objectives in the form of genuine work-performance. But also the relationship between the stage director and other actors: the scenographer, the costume designer, the lighter, the musician, etc. Numerous authors have dealt with the theoretical issues of theatrical art in different periods of time. Among the authors who have left an indelible tracksare: Stanislavski (who is considered the father of acting theory in theater), Arto, Berth, Brook, Grotowski and many others.
