Innovative Smart Urban Traffic
Session
Energy Efficiency Engineering
Description
The urbanization process which is presented in present days as a process of globalization and as a result of population density, mobility of passengers is ever increasing necessity. Logistic of urban traffic has become a great challenge for experts of logistic engineering, which besides being faced with overload, lack of space, they also face with other problems like: environmental pollution, noise, reduction of traffic safety level etc. Taking in consideration the necessity for this problem to be treated, in this paper an effective, efficient and economical solution, is proposed putting mobility of passengers in first place. By building hanging bridges in which vehicles movement would be by using a renewable energy, vehicles would be separated in different speed lanes and all system would be controlled via digital equipment, in this case the passenger would always know the exact time of arrival of the transport vehicle and the exact time of arriving to desired destination. This paper sets out the findings of a study on urban logistics in which we compared existing transportation systems with a system with separated lanes. Following this study we found that the automatic control of hanging bridges offered an innovative solution, where the lanes will be controlled automatically. Using existing technologies we will try to facilitate the peoples life’s by avoiding environmental pollution by using renewable energy, reduce of noise, increase the level of traffic safety, decreasing of expenses etc
