Description

Housing is a decisive case in social stability, health and qualitative development of human wellbeing. Housing, as a greater user of space, affects the overall development of the society and simultaneously is a key component in socio-economic development or housing standard. Housing is a social right for every citizen in all developed countries. The right of housing is becoming more and more present in global politics and in the war for human rights, sanctioned with international conventions. Housing plays a significant role in creating housing areas for people - places where one can invest in therefore grow the economic development opportunities. In this project, we will treat social housing in Kosovo, in the framework of the structural institutional level, as in central likewise in local level. In this project we will show housing politics and their implementations, programs and projects, and the application of other activities which help directly in creating good conditions and mechanisms that enable proper and sustainable housing for all citizens, by saving and increasing the values of residential fund and applying the modern techniques of building. We’ll cover the achievements and challenges since post-war period in the Republic of Kosovo, while featuring the citizens’ needs and requests, responsibilities of institutions, implemented projects, management and administration of social housing buildings, the lack of budget and human resources, databases, electronic platforms etc.
