The Impact of Natural Light on the Interior
Session
Architecture and Spatial Planning
Description
Nowadays in the time of modern architecture we have the opportunity to use light and volumetry in the interior in many different forms and complex textures. During a conceptual analysis done with a cube constantly changing the shape and position of the carved, we may notice that we have a change in the perception of space as well as a different psychological effect. The linear carvings located in the ceiling emphasize the main axis of the cubit creating an illusion of the extension of the building. If we had had carvings at the bottom of the cube, the idea of a disconnected space would have been created. This is a good way of expressing the importance of an axis or a certain function through light. Natural interior light can be used as a form of communication, adapted to the function, volumetry and materials used in the interior.
