In this article I will analyze various aspects of sound and image treatment in the movie “In Between”.
Given the type of sound treatment that has been produced i will highlight from this analysis how the sound is used in the context of sound composition and sound design by itself, the relationship between the image and the special perceptual effect of the pairing choices of sound and image.I will discuss the absence of music in parallel with the lack of camera movement and the lack of visual pairing with the sound when characters speak and what perceptual effect this produces
