The Process of Developing Zoning Maps in Kosovo
Session
Architecture and Spatial Planning
Description
Considering the need for sustainable and integrated planning and development in Kosovo in the transition phase, then this development should be based on local capacities, taking into account the best international experiences, and also this development should be based on the parameters and through them the process should be comprehensive and measurable. The planning process in Kosovo at the central level is regulated by the "Law on Spatial Planning No. 04/L 174" of 2013, where according to this law are explained the drafting, approval and implementation of these development documents as foreseen: Spatial Plan of Kosovo, Zonal map of Kosovo and Spatial plans for areas of special interest. In this regard, it is important to harmonize these processes in planning: the connection between the zonal map and other planning; planning to be done in time, planning to be meaningful, to be harmonized with each other, to be based on the best standards and experiences, as well as to ensure the implementation mechanisms!
