Description
This paper is devoted to the drone attacks, factors leading to their success, and the measures, strategies and technologies, which could be used, possibly in a combination to achieve an effective defense against these attacks. Usually, the drones attack their objective in a swarm. Hence, it is insufficient to prepare a defense against a single-drone attack. There are various ways and devices developed, to stop a droneattack, but unfortunately a 100 percent anti-drone protection cannot be guaranteed. The paper considers the modern counter-drone technology (with the popular name “Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems”, known also as C-UAS). It includes different approaches as tracking, jamming, kinetic approaches, and hybrid: hijacking and cyber approaches. Several anti-drone strategies are also analyzed. The best strategy against drone attacks could be to avoid the specific "drone-success" factors (if possible), and to combine all known ways and measures, as well as the available devices for a reliable drone defense.
