Description

The rapid development of mobile applications across various platforms has significantly impacted fields such as geodesy. This paper presents the development of a mobile application, "RefNet.App," designed for the Android operating system using the Java programming language. The application aims to assist geodesists in locating reference points in Kosovo by leveraging the Global Positioning System (GPS). Through an intuitive interface, the application identifies the nearest reference points and provides a route to reach them, streamlining fieldwork and improving measurement accuracy. Additionally, the application facilitates comparison between different geodetic methods, specifically the ellipsoid and geoid models, enhancing the precision of geodetic surveys. This work contributes to the digital transformation in geodesy by offering an efficient tool that reduces time and effort in reference point localization. Future developments aim to expand the application's functionality, including a search feature for any coordinates within Kosovo’s coordinate system, KosovaREF01.
