Description
One of the greatest challenges with which most of the countries face nowadays without a doubt it's the organized crime. The forms through which the organized crime is manifested and the manner it is committed remain a threat to the national and regional security. Taking into account the overall level of crime, especially that of organized crime, many countries have established specialized mechanisms to fight this transnational phenomenon. Taking into account the overall level of crime and especially that of serious crimes, in 2008 Kosovo has passed the Law no. 03/L052 on Special Prosecution of the Republic of Kosovo. On 2023 the Parlament of Republic of Kosovo passed the law on special Prosecution of Kosovo (Law no. 08/L-168 on Special Prosecution). This mechanism had the mission of fight against crime, with special emphasis on corruption and organized crime.
