The purpose of this article is to investigate the key issues that leaders face in the digital age. The assumption has been raised that leaders should be ready to negotiate a complicated terrain of opportunities and risks as a result of rapid digital technological advancements. The goal of this research is to determine and evaluate the primary issues in this area and discuss about how they affect the leadership approaches and practices, and provide effective solutions. This research illuminates the important characteristics of leadership required to generate effective decisions compatible with the demands of the digital age. The research approach of this article utilizes an intensive critical literature review, explanatory case studies, and a survey.
