The paper deals with issues related to foreign direct investments, including the analysis of their economic effect in Kosovo. The main purpose of this paper is to analyze direct investments in Kosovo and the effect of these investments on the economy in recent years in the Republic of Kosovo. In different periods, foreign direct investments in Kosovo have played an important role in the economic aspect, especially they remain an important source of financing for the economy in Kosovo. Given that Kosovo after the last war remains among the countries with a low level of development and high unemployment, the importance and economic effect of direct investments in Kosovo have been and remain of special importance for the economy of Kosovo. Empirical studies on foreign direct investments in the last decade have been numerous and have gained importance even after the recent crisis of the Covid19 pandemic. Most of these studies deal with the issue of foreign direct investments and their effect on the economy. However, studies on foreign direct investment in Kosovo are of particular importance, and as such this paper is primarily guided by a literature review of studies that focus on foreign direct investment in Kosovo and their importance and effect on economic activities. in Kosovo. We consider that the results and recommendations obtained from this study should be taken into account by the relevant institutions.
