Osteoarthritis (OA) is the most prevalent joint disease and a leading cause of disability in older adults. The condition affects women more than men, and the risk of developing OA increases with age. Other risk factors include past joint in- jury and obesity. The treatment aims to decrease the presenting symptoms of the disease, slowing its progress. Various treatment options are available for the treatment of OA that includes physiotherapy and medications, biological surgical procedures. This narrative review intends to focus on the role of physiotherapy in Osteoarthritis.
