Description
Aim: the purpose of this study is to determine the impact of the plyometric program on the performance level of the high jump technique, which is directed at improving the bases for the development of indicators of explosive power. Methods: the sample of the study included 220 male students from secondary schools of Fushë Kosovë (Kosovo), aged 16 years ± 6 months, academic year 2020/2021. The experimental group (110 male students) applied a 12-week program, the control group (110 male students) continued only with regular physical education lessons (2 times a week). In the study, data collection tools were as follows: Countermovement jump (CMJ), Standing broad jump (SBJ), Tipple standing jump (TSJ), Five-step standing jump (),10 Meters run (10mRUN), 20 Meters run (20mRUN), Plate tapping (PLT), Foot-tapping against the wall (FTAW), Sit-ups in 30 sec (SUP30s), High jump (scissors technique) (SCJ). Results: the study results show that the high jump technique in the final tests after the implementation of the program, unlike the initial one, showed an increase in the result F=658.221; Sig.=0.000 in the experimental group, in contrast to the control group, which did not show a significant result of the development of the high jump technique. This shows that the implementation of the experimental program has had a significant impact in the achievement of the specific goal, on the performance development of the high jump technique. Conclusion: in conclusion, in terms of general analysis of the results from our research, we have concluded that: the 12-week plyometric training programme has had a positive effect on improving all motor skills in connection with the high jump technique.
