This study aims to understand the state of protection of property rights in Kosovo, as a fundamental human right. The research questions raised in this study are:

Q1: What is the legal framework in the field of property protection in Kosovo and how does it align with international standards for the protection of fundamental human rights?

Q2: What are the main problems related to the right to property and that risk the violation of the provisions of the European Convention on Human Rights and not only?

The issues analyzed during this study have highlighted the need to improve the protection of property rights, especially the protection of women's rights and the property rights of displaced persons and members of non-majority communities. Another critical issue remains the high degree of informality in the property sector.
