This research is about the impact of social media and influencers on eating habits. The study's main purpose is to examine social media's impact on nutritional habits.
The object of the study was 50 citizens of Peja and the region, regardless of age and gender, who have encountered at least one social media influencer that has had a positive or negative impact on their eating habits.
50 citizens of Peja and the region participated in this research. From the total number of citizens in terms of gender, 40.0% are male and 60.0% are female. For the realization of this research, the survey was used. The data were analyzed with the Microsoft Excel package.
Based on the descriptive data, we can conclude that social media has a negative impact on eating habits. Exposure to unrealistic body standards and unhealthy food content on social media can lead to disordered eating habits, such as restrictive dieting and binge eating. Social media can also promote unhealthy eating habits by encouraging the consumption of processed and high-calorie foods.
