Myocardial infarction, defined as myocardial necrosis, caused by acute cessation of coronary blood flow, has a significant burden on morbidity and mortality in Albanian population as well as other countries in the region or the world.

This health emergency in most cases is caused by arteriosclerosis, but other factors are no less important. Based on the INTERHEART report, modified factors such as hypertension, diabetes mellitus, smoking, physically inactive sedentary life, hyperlipidemia, obesity, stress or depression, are responsible for 90% of acute myocardial infarction (AMI). Around the world, programs for the assessment and monitoring of people with cardiovascular diseases or at risk of developing such diseases, have reduced the frequency of acute myocardial infarction as well as the reduction of fatality in this emergency. Chest pain is one of the most important symptoms, it comes with the feeling of tightness in the chest, as a pressure. It can spread to the chest and other.
