Description
The paper analyzes the leadership styles and the performance of 5 banks of the second level in Albania. The study used mixed methods, qualitative and quantitave methods. In addition to the surveys conducted with the employees and with the directors of the banks, a series of in depth interviews were conducted with the employees to identify the factors that affect the performance of the organization, the effectiveness and the relationship between leadership styles and bank performance. The study found that banks’directors use different leadership styles. Given many challenges and demands faced by bank leaders, the study found that it is necessary to develop managerial and leadership skills to leaders.
