Energy Efficiency Renovation Measures in Public Buildings, Case Study Kindergarten “Buzëqeshja” City of Prishtina

Session

Architecture and Spatial Planning

Description

Older buildings in city of Pristina face high energy loss resulting in large electricity bills. This loss of energy is significant especially in the infrastructure of school and preschool institutions. The case study of this research is the preschool institution "Buzëqeshja" in city of Prishtina. Through analysis, calculations of current thermal energy loss, it has been found that the greatest amount of heat is present through the thermal envelope. With the application of renovation measures it has resulted that significant reductions in thermal loss through conductivity can be achieved, increasing energy performance and living comfort in the interior spaces of the building.
