Description

Seeing the importance of liquids in our daily diet, especially for children, because of the unique flavors and nutritional values, it is necessary to analyze the interest and safety of these liquids in different types of packaging. This study evaluates the impact of packaging type on the quality and safety of peach juice, comparing Glass bottles and Tetrapak cartons. Analysis of the peach juice revealed that glass bottles better preserve Vitamin C, total acidity, and Brix value, indicating superior nutrient retention and consistency in flavor compared to Tetrapak cartons. Additionally, glass bottles maintained a higher pH, suggesting more effective preservation of the juice's natural acidity. Both packaging types showed high iron content, which may be attributed to processing factors or fortification. The findings indicate that glass bottles offer enhanced protection for the juice’s nutritional and sensory properties, despite their higher cost. This research highlights the advantages of glass packaging in maintaining juice quality and provides insights for consumers and producers regarding optimal packaging choices for preserving fruit juice integrity.
