Description

The primary goals of this research are: to determine the development tendency of mortality from malignant neoplasms in R. N. Macedonia and to determine the impact of diet and lifestyle on the appearance and development of malignant neoplasms. The analysis of the dynamics of mortality from malignant neoplasms in R.N. Macedonia used data obtained from the Institute for Public Health of R.N. Macedonia on the mortality rate from malignant neoplasms in 20102021. To determine the impact of diet and lifestyle on the appearance and development of malignant neoplasms, an online survey was conducted on 217 respondents diagnosed with cancer (201 women and 16 men) aged 20 to 70 years. The following statistical methods of work are used: linear trend, relative numbers, and arithmetic mean. The results of the study indicate that the mortality rate from malignant neoplasms in R. N. Macedonia shows a growing tendency. The average score for the lifestyle of the subjects diagnosed with cancer who were included in the study is 7.91 and is generally poor. It means that the respondents must seriously think about some of their habits (53% of them have increased body weight, consume very little whole grains, snack between meals, often go to bed late, smoke, etc.) that destroy their health and vitality. From this study, it can be concluded that changes in diet and life habits are crucial in preventing and treating malignant neoplasms
