Malignant tumors of the oral cavity represent a significant group of pathologies with high prevalence and considerable impact on public health. This review focuses on recent advancements in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of these tumors. It examines the role of biopsies, imaging, and molecular techniques in diagnosing malignancies, and explores treatment modalities including surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and biological treatments. The paper also discusses risk factors such as tobacco and alcohol use, the importance of early detection, and future research aimed at improving treatment outcomes and patient quality of life.
