Description
Although Kosovo is not a member of the international Green Card system, it must align the regulations for the time when it must adopt the European standards for the protection of victims of traffic accidents. In accordance with the fifth Directive, the Kosovo Bureau of Insurance Companies of Kosovo applies the mandatory possession of the European Report regarding accident reporting.Regarding the procedures involved in a road accident, after the completion of the European report on the accident, the injured party must, before repairing the vehicle, with his vehicle must be presented to the insurance company as soon as possible with which insured vehicle caused the damage and for the registration of the damage, as well as the assessment of the damage to the vehicle. So, what is important for the injured party in the accident is that before registering the damage by the authorized person, the insurer has not performed any repairs on the vehicle.The participants in the accident are obliged to present the complete documentation which is done according to the standard procedure. Also, if none of the participants in an accident possess the European accident report, the police will carry out the investigation while applying the standard procedures to carry out the damage report.
